Why We Built This Site
New Mexico provides public access to many court records, yet the right route depends on the court level and the kind of record sought. The De Baca District Court Clerk’s Office keeps district-case files. The De Baca County Magistrate Court Clerk’s Office keeps magistrate files. Fort Sumner municipal matters belong with the village municipal-court channel. Case Lookup and registered re:SearchNM access can help locate supported state-court information, while the short-range Tenth Judicial District docket is useful for upcoming hearings.
Those differences matter when a search does not return a result. A municipal case may not appear in the statewide public interface, and a hearing calendar is not a complete case-file register. The purpose here is to identify the correct court and clerk before a request is made.
What You Will Find Here
The docket pages use De Baca and New Mexico court research to describe the practical routes to public information.
- Docket guides: explanations of criminal dockets and civil dockets kept by the applicable court.
- Hearing information: how the court calendar relates to a setting, a continuance, and a case record.
- Case lookup routes: ways to use case search tools, a case number, and a clerk follow-up.
- Record requests: the local roles involved in court records, redacted public access, and certified copies.
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site, not a New Mexico court, clerk’s office, or government agency. The official record remains with the court that maintains it. We cannot:
- retrieve an official docket sheet or case file;
- set, move, or confirm a hearing;
- file, correct, seal, or alter a court record;
- issue a certified copy, seal, transcript, or order;
- give legal advice about a pending matter; or
- guarantee that an outside service or court schedule is current.
Only the clerk or court holding the original De Baca record can supply an official or certified copy and confirm its current status.
Search Partners
Some pages include a search box operated by an outside provider. That provider controls its service, pricing, results, and privacy practices. A paid referral may support the site when a visitor chooses such a service, but it does not alter the official state-court routes described here. Court records should always be verified with the court or clerk that holds the original record.
